The South Lyon football team has been constantly preparing for their next games, and the players have been staying extra determined at practice for the past couple of months in order to be ready for these big games. As this season continues, the Lions have many important games ahead of them. With their current record of 5-2 as time passes, the team is going to make sure they win the rest of their games to get good positioning in the playoffs. Each one of these games is going to give our players opportunities to show off what they have been working on, and it will also give other teams things to look out for and be scared of. With teamwork and everything else that goes into making this team special, it is going to be intriguing to see how the rest of the season plays out.

The puppy bowl was a big game for a school that involved SLHS and South Lyon East High School (SLEHS) donating money towards South Lyon Education Foundation. Senior Gannon Limotte said, “Our game at the puppy bowl was very competitive, but in the end we will come out with the win.” On Friday, Oct. 9, SLHS was able to pull out the win in the football game, as well as the puppy bowl donation competition. This game was very important to this lions team. Now with the cross-town rivalry win behind them this group is going to be dangerous coming into the playoffs.

Now this team along with many others needs to stay in good spirits during games. When one person is down it can bring the whole team down. Having good spirit is definitely going to be helpful for this team and their future games. Senior offensive lineman, Jack Minke said, “We do really well when we rally off each other, when one person gets hyped up, we all do”. With a lot of upcoming challenges they’re going to need to make sure they can stay clear minded through injuries and their past losses. This Lions team has a strong chance to make a good run for the rest of the fall season.
