After more than a year of struggling through the pandemic, the wait is finally over. Anyone aged 12 years or older is eligible to be vaccinated against Covid-19, though those under 18 only have the option of receiving the Pfizer vaccine. This thrilling news provides a light at the end of the tunnel for this dark period in our modern history. With the wide availability of vaccines, many companies around the country have begun offering incentives to those who plan to, or have already been vaccinated.
Krispy Kreme
If the security against Covid-19 is not enough for one to want to get vaccinated, Krispy Kreme is offering a free donut per day. All it costs is proof of vaccination. This deal will be available through the end of the year to anyone who shows their COVID vaccine record card at their local Krispy Kreme. So, to those who are still hesitant to get the vaccine, know that there is the promise of a free daily donut in your future.
Kroger
For those who have yet to receive their vaccine, consider doing so at Kroger. The company is offering one million dollars to five lucky people who have gotten at least one of their doses at a Kroger Family Company. However, one million dollars is not the only reward this company is offering up. There will also be 50 winners selected to win free groceries for an entire year. Note that only those 18 years or older are eligible for this opportunity.
Major League Baseball (MLB)
MLB has begun a new program titled “Vaccinate at the Plate” in order to encourage its fans to get vaccinated. The MLB’s 30 clubs will each work with their local health care providers to host at least one event in the month of June, where unvaccianted fans can receive free game tickets if they get a Covid-19 vaccination. If you haven’t gotten vaccinated yet, make sure you do soon so you can receive free tickets to a baseball game.
National Football League (NFL)
The NFL is another one of the many major companies offering tempting incentives in return for vaccinations. The company announced that they will put up 50 Super Bowl LII tickets for vaccinated fans to have a chance to win. The NFL also plans to give vaccinated fans a 25 percent discount later this year.
Target
If you choose to get your vaccine at an in store CVS, Target will give you a five dollar coupon to be used at the store. While this may seem minor compared to other companies, anything to encourage vaccination is greatly appreciated.
CVS
Recently CVS has announced that those who receive the vaccine at one of its locations, or have already received the vaccine at one of its locations, are eligible to enter a sweepstakes to have the chance to win a variety of prizes. These prizes include tickets to the Super Bowl, 5,000 dollars to fund a family reunion, a cruise, or cash. The sweepstakes began June 1, but those vaccinated prior are still eligible, and will continue through July 10. So, if you haven’t gotten vaccinated, do so soon to have the ability to win one of these prizes. Similar to the Kroger sweepstakes, only those 18 years and up are eligible.
These are only a few of the many companies offering rewards for COVID vaccines. While your main reason for getting vaccinated should be to stop the spread of the virus and protect others, it is still nice to reap a small reward. Make your vaccine appointment now, so we can all return to normalcy as soon as possible.
