TV series have come and gone, but some of them tend to stick around a lot longer than others. Thanks to adamant fans and the current streaming services such as Hulu and Netflix, series are continuously growing. Also, the fan bases are ever-growing as more and more people watch the series. However, with so many series to choose from, which ones are the best?

One of the most watched TV series on Netflix for our generation is The Office. This show combines great comedy from the cast, especially actor Steve Carell, and one of the greatest sitcom romances to date. With top actors and actresses such as John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer, comedy that is almost too over the line, and romance that moves you, this series holds all of the components to be a top-level program. When asked about The Office, super-fan Brooke Bowman said, “This one of my favorite shows. It always finds a way to make me laugh. My favorite character in the show is Dwight Schrute: he is one of the funniest on it.” Containing nine seasons and 201 episodes, this series is a must watch for all comedy fans.

Another top series on Netflix that is the classic show Friends. This show first aired in 1994 and never lost its popularity over the last 25 years. The sitcom provides humor but also appeals to the emotional side of us by showing real life crises. The audience also gets to see the characters progress through their lives as adults and face hardships of life, such as losing your job, relationships struggles, and financial issues. With 10 seasons containing 236 episodes, if you are planning to binge a show for hours on end, this is the perfect series for you.

Netflix also has another popular show on their network called Parks and Recreation. This series has a plethora of great actors and actress such as the likes of Amy Poehler, Chris Pratt, Aubrey Plaza, Adam Scott, and many more. The combinations of these cast members offer a great sense of humor on the show. When asked about Parks and Recreation, Joey Villarosa said, “I like how the shows gives a funnier approach to government and Chris Pratt makes me laugh so much in the show.” The series surrounds the parks and recreation branch in Pawnee, Indiana. It shows the struggles that the employees go through with not only their jobs, but with each other. The show tells their stories with a more comedic approach at the government branch as a whole. The show has 125 episodes with 7 seasons total. If you want to laugh a lot and be entertained for days, this is the perfect series for you.

One of the most recent TV series to see fame is Shameless.  The series follows the life of a broken family that has one often absent parent and one alcoholic parent. As a result, the older sister has to take charge and parent the kids through life. This series reaches its peaked in seasons three and four due to characters growing up and new drama added to the story. In addition, it is also very easy to sympathize with the Gallagher children because they are a low-income family and have financial struggles. The series has nine seasons right now, but is still airing on Showtime on Sundays.

These four TV series have been the top series to watch at some point in their airing. Even though some are older than others, they all are still great series to watch, and I would highly recommend them for any binge-watching TV fanatic.
