Holidays are the best time to whip out your sweet baking skills and make some nice desserts. There are a lot of different holidays for which you might need to bake. Most people want all of their treats to be themed towards the holiday season.

One reason to head to the kitchen to bake something for Valentine’s Day would be if you are hosting a Galentine’s Party. For the people who do not know what that is, it is when a bunch of girls all get together and throw a party to celebrate Valentine’s Day since love does not just have to be romantic in nature. There are so many fun sweet treats to make that are super cute and enjoyable for everyone at the party! One example that is super simple and does not take much skill at all is heart shaped cookies. Simply take the cookie dough from any cookie recipe, use a heart-shaped cookie cutter, and add some red or pink frosting. And if you want to really get fancy, you could add some fun sprinkles as well.

Another really simple idea to make it feel like Valentine’s Day is to take pretzel sticks, add a sugar heart to each end of it and it looks like an arrow. It is very easy and only takes two ingredients: pretzel sticks and some chewy candy hearts you can find at any store.

Another great idea is to make a Valentine’s specialty drink to serve. There are not many ingredients: sparkling water or soda, marshmallow fluff, sprinkles, cotton candy, and color-themed glasses are all that are required to create this festive drink. First, you take the cup and put the rim in the marshmallow fluff; then, put sprinkles over that. Next, you pour in the drink of your choice and add the cotton candy. Then Ta Da, your beautiful Valentine’s drink is complete.

If you plan to spend Valentine’s Day at home with your family, and you want to have a relaxing evening, there are a lot of ideas to enjoy the night. A super great thing the family will enjoy making together are heart-shaped pizzas! First, you just roll out the pizza dough and cut it into a heart shape and then you add sauce, cheese, and the toppings of your desire. Lastly, you cook them in the oven, take them out, and enjoy some pizza with your family.

After you have had your pizza, you will likely be craving a sweet treat. A great idea for something quick and easy to whip up is some chocolate-covered strawberries. All you do is take some fresh strawberries and cover them with melted white, or dark chocolate, and then put them in the fridge until the chocolate hardens. They are very tasty and super cute.

Valentine’s Day is a very loving holiday, with great opportunities to make super fun and easy desserts. It is the best feeling to be surprised with a sweet treat and a Valentine’s gift from the people you love most. It makes you feel very special and loved.
